Continuing awareness

Training does not begin and end with formal courses. Lawyers are expected to remain aware of developments affecting their practice areas and should read compliance updates, guidance notes and communications issued by the MLRO, MLCO or Clients Team.

Particular attention should be paid to developments affecting:

• financial crime risks relevant to the lawyer's area of practice;
• sanctions and geopolitical developments;
• emerging fraud typologies;
• legislative and regulatory changes; and
• updates to the Firm's policies, procedures or risk assessments.
