Incoming post and DX

We use a third-party agent to open and scan our post and we forward it to you by email as fast as we can (it can take up to 48 hours, weekends and bank holidays excluded). If you don't want hard-copy correspondence dealt with in this way, then it will need to be sent to us using alternative couriers to the Royal Mail and the DX.

Where you are expecting an important item to be delivered or where you have any special instructions, you should forewarn a member of the Administration Team who will look out for your post and deal accordingly. You should not ask third parties to correspond with you directly to your office.

As well as the scan, all hard-copy post is then forwarded to you the following Thursday unless you say otherwise. If it is too large to scan, then the cover is usually scanned and the item is forwarded to you in hard copy on receipt.

If you want to receive your post from Central Office by DX, then this is possible. Central Office can arrange for you to have your own DX address at a discounted rate. To find out more about the DX Exchange service, click www.thedx.co.uk/ourservices/exchange. To find out the location of your nearest DX Exchange, call 0843 903 3300. If you would like to have your own DX address, then contact a member of the Administration Team. Note that you must not give out your DX address to others as this would be a breach of the SRA rules.

You can elect to have all your post copied to a colleague too, for example your PA or other member of your Pod. Contact the Administration Team to arrange this.

Outgoing post is a matter for you. Royal Mail's Click & Drop Service is a quick and easy way to pay for postage online and print labels yourself. You can also arrange for items to be collected from your home if you aren't able to get to a post box. If you don't have a printer, you can even request a label to be brought when the item is collected.
