These days most forms are available in editable format from the relevant government entity and/or on PLC. For use in conjunction with the former, you might find it helpful to purchase a PDF writing tool, though this is not essential. For further information in this respect, contact the IT Team.
Conveyancing forms are an anomaly. These are owned by the Law Society and only available through Advanced Legal's Cloudforms offering (also known as Laserforms). We have a licence to the conveyancing package that includes the following forms.
You can now share forms electronically with your client for them to complete. Any amendments the client makes will be in real time, so this cuts out a huge delay in waiting for clients to print, complete and post back any forms. Please note that you will not be notified when the client has completed the form, so it is best to warn the client that the form is coming and ask them to confirm once it has been completed. You can then log on and access the completed version. For guidance on how to use this function please see here.
If you think you will need regular access, then ask the Administration Team to purchase an individual licence for you. If you will need only occasional access, then the Administration Team can fill in and edit the relevant forms for you. Do remember to give them very clear instructions as, without your own Cloudforms licence you will not be able to edit the forms.
Access to Cloudforms is via the Laserforms Hub (see www.hub.laserform.co.uk). All Corporate and Property lawyers are given a licence to the Laserform Hub on joining for form-filling and direct-filing at HMLR and Companies House. Any other access to Cloudforms is on request only.
If you have a Cloudforms licence and need technical support, then contact Cloudforms' IT helpdesk - 03300 602 102 (Option 1) or legal.helpdesk@oneadvanced.com.
If you need access to different forms, you should contact the Director of Operations and Compliance.
