Website, press and events rule

When a new client contacts you without a client or colleague introduction, or where an introduction is made by a member of Central Office, then that new client is 'owned' by Central Office and this must be recorded on the resulting New Client Form. If the new client's requirement does not fall within your own expertise, you are at liberty to develop a relationship with that client and take on the new instructions and pass the work to a colleague with the requisite expertise, but ownership will remain with Central Office.

This rule is equitable because of the enormous amount of work and expense that goes into developing and maintaining the website and driving appropriate traffic to it, assembling the client newsletter, publishing Keynotes, employing full-time marketing/PR professionals, running events and generally raising the profile of the firm.
